In summer, many mountain routes can seem benign, and in good conditions, many a pleasurable day can be had on your favourite routes with little but the basic kit, knowledge and experience.
You may be working your way around the Munros, Corbetts or Grahams, and may just want some advice, some company or assistance with longer or more involved routes.
But how about stretching yourself? Have you ever fancied routes such as An Teallach near Dundonnell, (pictured left), Liathach, Beinn Alligin or Beinn Eighe in Torridon, or maybe Ben Nevis by one of the more challenging routes? What about going into Fisherfield, the 'Great Wilderness' for a few days? And how is your navigation? How comfortable are you if the visibility is poor, or the weather more demanding than you would like?
Have you ever fancied scrambling on routes such as the Forcan Ridge in Kintail, the Carn Mor Dearg arete of Ben Nevis or the Zig-Zags of Gear Aonach in Glencoe. What about the Munros on Skye, where the route finding is challenging, and where there are few paths. I can help with all of these and more.
